Distributive Law

Post by natttt

Distributive Law says that:

a(b + c) = ab + ac

Examples of the Distributive Law:

a. 9(a + 7) = 9a + 63
b. -6(y - 8) = -6y + 48
c. -a(a - 4) = -a^2 + 4a
d. -2a(4a + 5) = -8a^2 - 10a

Expand and simplify 4x(2x + 3) - 2(3x - 7):

4x(2x + 3) - 2(3x - 7)
= 8x^2 + 12x - 6x + 14
= 8x^2 + 6x + 14
