A fixator muscle is a muscle that acts as a stabilizer of one part of the body during movement of another part.

An example: BICEP CURL:

Agonist_Prime mover muscle: Biceps

Antagonist_Opposing muscle group: Triceps.

Synergist_Helping muscle group(assists):Brachiradialis

Fixators_Prevents unecessary movement:Abs, Back,Shoulders and wrists
